  • Handcrafted Interactive Displays & Music-Inspired Abstract Art

  • NJ is a Toledo-based creator and entrepreneur who blends intuitive abstract doodling with hands-on construction. As the founder of the Arts & Rhythm Festival, she created this platform to share her creative passion with the community—demonstrating what happens when artistic vision meets professional execution. For her debut festival exhibition, she combines custom structural builds with vibrant artwork to create dynamic, memorable photo experiences.

  • "Rhythm on the Water" — A hands-on, music-infused backdrop built specifically to complement the midsummer energy of Promenade Park. Drawing color cues from the sky, clouds, and river, the display blends bold reds, warm oranges, crisp whites, and deep blues with abstract musical elements into a fully interactive photo installation.

    • The Vision: "I wanted to build physical pieces that people could walk right up to, touch, and take pictures with. Art shouldn't just be viewed from afar—it should be experienced and captured."

    • The Inspiration: "The design comes straight from the feeling of summer by the water. I brought together the iconic festival palette—red, orange, blue, and white—to reflect the clouds, sunshine, and river. Blending my passion for music into that summery landscape just felt right."

    • The Process: "Because this is my first year displaying custom art installations, my focus was studying how displays are constructed structurally. I spent time researching building methods and labor techniques so I could handcraft something sturdy, vibrant, and interactive."

    • The Festival Connection: "I’ve always known I had a creative spark, and creating this festival was my way of finally putting that on display for Toledo as both an artist and a professional. What excites me most is seeing people interact with the display—I hope everyone takes as many photos as possible!"

  • Natalia is a Detroit-based visual artist specializing in small- to large-scale hand-painted murals and mixed-media art. By working with acrylic paints, she transforms everyday materials into immersive visual experiences. Her expressive, story-driven style uses bold colors and symbolism to invite viewers to pause, reflect, and look closer.

  • "Masters & Echoes" — A multi-panel wooden installation honoring the legendary masters of art history while showcasing the evolution of a modern creator's personal voice.

    • The Vision: "My style is colorful, expressive, and inspired by the pioneers who came before me. Rather than aiming for perfect realism, I focus on capturing emotion, telling a story, and reflecting my own personal growth as an artist."

    • The Inspiration: "This year’s installation pays tribute to five iconic artists who shaped history: Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Frida Kahlo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Pablo Picasso. Each panel captures the essence of a master, leading to a final panel that represents my own journey—reminding us that every artist starts by learning from those who inspired them."

    • The Process: "I start by researching each legend to pinpoint what made their work dynamic. From there, I sketch the layout, prepare the raw wood surfaces, and layer acrylic paint to honor their distinct styles while blending in my own interpretation."

    • The Festival Connection: "I’m thrilled to share my passion at the Arts & Rhythm Festival. I hope this display encourages people to appreciate historical art while inspiring them to support and celebrate the emerging creators building today."
